Different - but the same!

What kicks harder than a mule, has 48 legs and a huge heart? Our Southern California Seahorse Premier Development League soccer team! Some of this group of college-age and adult players are local while others are coming from Illinois, Indiana, Tennessee, North Carolina, and Kentucky.
The players come from different backgrounds, different soccer programs, even different countries - we will have a couple Brazilians with us. What is the same about them is their faith in Jesus Christ, their desire to learn what it means to be a sports minister, and play as a Christian in a highly competitive atmosphere.
Along with playing a 15 game schedule (May - July), these players will spend several hours per week in Sports Ministry Training studying scripture, working through the tough issues of how we keep Christ first in our sports experience, and how we can minister to others through the gifts Good has given us. They will be involved in working soccer camps for kids, doing clinics for local youth soccer associations, conducting school and church programs, and participating in a short term mission trip to Mexico.
Please pray for these guys to come with open hearts, intent on following God through this experience in an attitude of seeking his direction for their sporting life, both this summer and as they return to their teams. Pray for Bill and the rest of the staff as we make these guys our priority this summer!
If you are in the area come check out one of our games. Click here to find our schedule. (Be advised that the times listed on that schedule are Eastern so subtract 3 hours!)
Please check out the Pray - Give - Go pages to see how you can partner with us in ministry.

Blessings
